Can you reduce the amount of bail you need to pay in order to get out a loved one? Hi, I’m Eric Strocen. I’m a Muskogee attorney with the Wirth Law Offices here to explain.
The answer is yes, in some circumstances, the court would entertain reducing the bail they are holding someone over in order to ensure they come to court. The entire purpose of it is to compel attendance.
That’s what it says in the statute. We want you to come to court. Anything else outside of that is not necessary for that analysis, and it helps to have an attorney draft up a motion to reduce bail and to also stand in front of the judge and argue this on behalf of your loved one.
